This entry seeks to illustrate that as far as digital culture is the environment of our lives, it is the context of our theologising. It will begin by discussing why digital theological engagement is inevitable and thereafter discuss some of the doctrinal focus areas and debates within digital theology to date.

Dogmatic, ethical, and exegetical questions intertwine with each other in the theology of law. Along with the question regarding an ethical orientation towards God’s will, what is also under discussion in the theology of the law is the law’s significance for salvation, especially in its distinction from, and relationship to, the Gospel. In addition, we must also always ask how, and by what means, the will of God is expressed in the law.

In diesem Beitrag soll aufgezeigt werden, dass digitale Kultur nicht nur die Umgebung unseres Lebens, sondern auch den Kontext unseres Theologisierens darstellt. Zunächst wird erörtert, warum ein Engagement in digitaler Theologie unvermeidlich ist, anschließend werden einige der Schwerpunktbereiche und Debatten innerhalb der digitalen Theologie erörtert, die bisher geführt wurden.

In der Theologie des Gesetzes treffen dogmatische, ethische und exegetische Fragen aufeinander. Neben der Frage nach einer ethischen Orientierung am Willen Gottes stehen hier auch die Heilsbedeutung des Gesetzes vor allem in seiner Unterscheidung und Zuordnung zum Evangelium in der Diskussion. Daneben ist aber auch immer zu fragen, wie und woran der sich im Gesetz ausdrückende Wille Gottes erkennbar ist.
